On behalf of my family and the entire staff of Ritchie Tractor Company, I would like to thank you for your business and continued support. With your purchase of a new John Deere tractor, there are a few things of we would like you to know. First, your new John Deere tractor meets the requirements that the EPA has mandated for tractors. These new regulations were adopted in 2004 and have been implemented over time by John Deere to be ready for the new law’s deadline for full implementation in 2015.
The attached document can help educate and answer questions you might have on the Interim and Final Tier 4 regeneration process that John Deere has designed. As now required by the EPA, John Deere uses an exhaust filter to reduce particulate matter. Your tractor is designed to clean this filter through a process called regeneration. This regeneration process is critical to your tractor’s performance. If you do not allow your tractor to perform this vital function, it will not run efficiently and will eventually lead to needed maintenance by our service department. If this type of maintenance is needed, it will not be covered under John Deere’s factory warranty.
Please take a few minutes to review the information provided about the regeneration process. If you have questions about your specific tractor, please visit https://www.deere.com/en_US/services_and_support/engine-information/engine-information.page, reference your Owner’s Manual, or contact any of the Ritchie Tractor service departments. Our staff will be glad to assist you.
